According to Wan, most Chinese <span data-descr=\\\"centralised exchanges\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">CEX<\/span> closed access to local users retroactively.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\\&#8221;But there is a loophole, since paid <span data-descr=\\\"Eng.: know your customer \u2014 know your client\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">KYC<\/span> (which allows bypassing government restrictions) has already become a common service. Only boomer traders who are not as technically savvy (don\u2019t know how to use VPN) or can\u2019t access paid services due to language or other information barriers,\\&#8221; she explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Since the introduction of cryptocurrency trading restrictions in the country, there has been a surge in the popularity of P2P exchanges.
