ConsenSys, a firm specialising in solutions for the Ethereum ecosystem, expects to reach a $3 billion market valuation following another funding round. This is reported by Financial Times<\/a>, citing its own sources.<\/p>\n

In February 2020, the firm carried out a strategic transformation of its business, splitting software development and venture capital units. As a result, the company’s staff was reduced by 14%.<\/p>\n

In October 2020 ConsenSys added to the Ethereum wallet MetaMask a DEX-aggregator function<\/a>, which allowed token swaps directly in the app.<\/p>\n

According to Dune Analytics<\/a>, over the year the company earned more than $156 million in swap fees.<\/p>\n

Earlier in August, ConsenSys noted that the wallet’s monthly active users (MAU) over six months grew fivefold<\/a>, reaching 5 million. This was driven by booms in the DeFi<\/span> and NFT<\/span> sectors, as well as the MetaMask Swaps feature, the firm said.<\/p>\n

In August the company reported<\/a> that MAU of the app reached 10 million users. Over the year the figure rose by more than 1,800%.<\/p>\n

In April, ConsenSys raised $65 million<\/a> in a round with JPMorgan, Mastercard, Alameda Research and others.<\/p>\n
