The rise has continued for a sixth consecutive period.<\/p>\n<p>After reaching in May 2021<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-mining-difficulty-hits-a-new-record\"> a historic maximum of 25 T<\/a>, the difficulty began to decline. This occurred amid <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-hash-rate-plunges-amid-chinese-authorities-decisions\">negative hash-rate dynamics<\/a>, with which the metric correlates. The main factor behind this was the Chinese authorities&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-hash-rate-plunges-amid-chinese-authorities-decisions\">crackdown on mining<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>By the end of June, Bitcoin&#8217;s network hashrate<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-hash-rate-sinks-to-july-2019-levels\"> fell to July 2019 levels<\/a> as equipment was switched off by Chinese miners.
