Wallets will play a key role. We are not first in the market \u2014 we are not rushing. We will move forward in steps,&#8221;<\/em> said Chennapragada.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The wallets will allow users to trade, send and receive cryptocurrencies within the app. At present, users can only buy\/sell digital assets for fiat.<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, the share of digital asset trading in the company&#8217;s revenue for the second quarter rose from <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/robinhood-files-s-1-for-ipo\">17% ($88 million)<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/crypto-trading-accounted-for-more-than-40-of-robinhoods-revenue-in-the-second-quarter\">41% ($233 million)<\/a> for January\u2013March.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2021, co-founder and CEO Vlad Tenev stated that the platform, in short order <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/robinhood-to-add-cryptocurrency-wallet-to-its-service\">plans to add<\/a> wallet functionality. In May, COO Christine Brown <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/robinhood-to-add-option-to-withdraw-crypto-assets\">confirmed<\/a> the imminent emergence of the ability to withdraw digital assets.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Bloomberg <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bloomberg-robinhood-tests-feature-to-shield-crypto-investors-from-volatility\">discovered<\/a> in the company&#8217;s iOS app code a test solution to protect users from cryptocurrency volatility. The platform rolled out the feature in mid-September.<\/p>\n<p>On July 29, the online broker <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/robinhood-shares-begin-trading-on-nasdaq-valuation-around-32-billion\">went public<\/a>.
