And I think they will do so, because there are opportunities,&#8221; the billionaire said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Dalio pointed to examples of India and China, which have taken a negative stance toward Bitcoin. The Chinese state organs and institutions have taken a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/pboc-signals-continued-pressure-on-crypto-trading\">\u0436\u0435\u0441\u0442\u043a\u0438\u0445 \u043c\u0435\u0440<\/a> in relation to crypto trading and effectively <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/chinas-largest-power-utility-orders-halt-to-cryptocurrency-mining\">\u0437\u0430\u043f\u0440\u0435\u0442\u0438\u043b\u0438<\/a> mining in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Dalio does not see a problem with Bitcoin lacking intrinsic value. Such assets do not necessarily end up in bubbles, he says.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, cryptocurrency is a good alternative to monetary assets, but its share relative to gold in his portfolio is small.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;I think it&apos;s worth considering all alternatives to money and other financial assets. Bitcoin is an opportunity. I have a certain amount in it. This is an amazing achievement \u2014 moving Bitcoin from the programming environment where it appeared to one that will stand the test of time,&#8221; Dalio concluded.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The billionaire has repeatedly spoken about the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/billionaire-ray-dalio-governments-will-choke-bitcoin-before-it-realises-its-potential\">possibility of Bitcoin being banned by U.S. authorities<\/a>; in March 2021 he assessed the probability of this as <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/billionaire-ray-dalio-sees-potential-ban-on-bitcoin-in-the-united-states\">&#8216;high&#8217;<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Over 2020, Dalio&apos;s views on cryptocurrency evolved from saying that Bitcoin could never function as money to recognizing the digital asset <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/crypto-skeptic-ray-dalio-calls-bitcoin-an-interesting-alternative-to-gold\">&#8216;interesting&#8217;<\/a> as an alternative to gold.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/charles-hoskinson-the-us-will-not-ban-bitcoin\">firmly rejected<\/a> the possibility of Bitcoin being banned by U.S. authorities.<\/p>\n<p>The same view is <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/tyler-winklevoss-bitcoin-has-dodged-the-ban-risk-in-the-united-states\">shared by<\/a> Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss, as digital gold has reached too high a level of acceptance.<\/p>\n<p>Follow ForkLog news on <a href=\"https:\/\/vk.com\/forklogcom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">VK<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If the first cryptocurrency achieves mass adoption, regulators will eventually take control of it.
