This was reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spot.uz\/ru\/2021\/09\/13\/bitcoin\/\">Spot<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThere are roughly 28 trillion sums in circulation, and all of them are backed by the central bank&#8217;s assets. You can even see on banknotes the inscription of the regulator&#8217;s obligations, and cryptocurrency is not backed by anything,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Since 2019, residents of Uzbekistan have been prohibited from buying cryptocurrencies and using them as a means of payment within the country.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, the National Agency for Project Management under the President of Uzbekistan <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/uzbekistan-proposes-allowing-residents-to-buy-cryptocurrencies-on-exchanges\">proposed<\/a> to allow residents of the country to acquire cryptocurrencies on an exchange.
