This is reported by <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.africanews.com\/2021\/09\/03\/singer-akon-s-senegalese-wakanda-city-unstarted-locals-left-in-dark\/\\\">Africanews<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\\&#8221;The stone itself lies on a dirt road in a field. A small poster advertising the megaproject fell from it,\\&#8221; the media reports.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony took place on 31 August 2020; construction work was scheduled to begin at the start of this year. Local residents say that it never started.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>According to a KE International representative, which won the contract to build the \\&#8221;cryptocity,\\&#8221; the main investor is Kenyan entrepreneur Julius Mwale.
