{"id":48715,"date":"2021-09-01T18:57:14","date_gmt":"2021-09-01T15:57:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=48715"},"modified":"2025-09-02T08:49:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-02T05:49:09","slug":"survey-men-invest-in-cryptocurrencies-twice-as-often-as-women","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/survey-men-invest-in-cryptocurrencies-twice-as-often-as-women\/","title":{"rendered":"Survey: Men Invest in Cryptocurrencies Twice as Often as Women"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Among crypto investors, men are twice as likely as women to invest, according to <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/curiosity\/cnbc-invest-in-you-august-2021\/\\\">the CNBC and Momentive study<\/a> (formerly Survey Money). <a href=\\\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/79931\/crypto-has-gender-inequality-problem-but-its-complicated\\\">Decrypt<\/a> has looked into how the industry perceives these data.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>According to the survey, 16% of male respondents invested in digital assets. Among women, this share was 7%.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The gender gap is higher than in <span data-descr=\\\"exchange-traded fund\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">ETF<\/span>, individual stocks, mutual funds, bonds and the real estate sector. The authors see this as inconsistent with the professed inclusivity of cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\\&#8221;This is a problem. To drive a financial revolution, there must be diversity in perspectives and participation,\\&#8221; commented Haley Lennon, a lawyer at Anderson Kill.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>She said that in order for crypto to be adopted further, the share of women among crypto investors must rise. Lennon noted that by nature women are \\&#8221;more conservative in finance.\\&#8221; In her view, time will be required given the \\&#8221;relatively low predictability of the new asset class.\\&#8221; The lawyer also expressed confidence that the disparity will disappear in time.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Heather Delani, CEO of Gallium Ventures, said there is a need to strengthen trust in the digital-assets space.
