This is evidenced by data from a survey conducted by the Association of Forex Dealers (AFD) in August.<\/p>\n<p>The study, examining investors&#8217; attitudes toward digital currencies, included 502 respondents.<\/p>\n<p>Seventeen percent of respondents engage in digital-currency transactions at least once a month, 25% less than once a month, 35% more often. 23% have never worked with such instruments, yet the vast majority of these investors plan to acquire digital assets in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>More than half of the participants cited the desire to increase their savings as the reason for investing in digital currencies.<\/p>\n<p>Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum or Litecoin are far more attractive to investors than national currencies or gold.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/sWIMjMkUqKnTgw-WM92PUElRjPpeWsw185UqZ_MBg07kAGfWF53wP4njevmNpAVWGBJo8ntrgaoG2VyFArcRGIiqp-T0FSaUxB-zdl4CNmZfy-rlsZNMkGUvWjnbw8ScIDY_Wbp2=s0\" alt=\"Survey: 77% of Russian investors named Bitcoin more promising than 'traditional currencies' and gold\"\/><figcaption>Data: <a href=\"https:\/\/sroafd.ru\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Rezultaty-oprosa-1.pdf\" title=\"https:\/\/sroafd.ru\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Rezultaty-oprosa-1.pdf\">\u0410\u0424\u0414<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Forty percent of respondents believe that government intervention in the issuance and circulation of digital currencies should be minimal; almost 35% advocate market regulation. Sixteen percent are confident that digital assets should not be subject to any regulation. Another 9% do not understand how such currencies could be regulated.<\/p>\n<p>Most investors (61%) strongly disagree with <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bank-of-russia-urges-exchanges-not-to-allow-trading-of-crypto-linked-instruments\">the Bank of Russia&#8217;s recommendations<\/a> that exchanges should not permit the trading of crypto-linked instruments.<\/p>\n<p>76.5% of respondents believe that in the next five years the share of digital currencies in overall turnover will increase significantly.<\/p>\n<p>As noted in January by Bank Otkrytie&#8217;s survey, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/survey-shows-63-of-russians-want-to-buy-cryptocurrencies\">63% of Russians are willing to buy cryptocurrencies<\/a>.
