In late July the metric rose for the first time in two months\u2014after peaking in May it had subsequently declined.<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin&#8217;s mining difficulty is inextricably linked to its network hash rate, which, judging by the smoothed 7-day moving average, has been rising steadily over the past month.
