The most effective remedy was to connect nodes to alternative software.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In August 2020, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/unknown-bug-in-ethereum-clients-caused-synchronization-errors-for-13-of-nodes\">the bug in the Parity-Ethereum and OpenEthereum clients<\/a> led to a synchronization error affecting 13% of nodes in the network.
