[\u2026] You can always queue at Western Union and pay the fee&#8217;<\/em>, \u2014 Bukele reminded.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>According to the Salvadoran president, citizens annually enrich remittance systems by about $400 million.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Bukele announced <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/el-salvador-to-give-each-adult-resident-30-in-bitcoin\">a $30 distribution in the first cryptocurrency<\/a> to every adult citizen. According to him, this amount cannot be exchanged for dollars, as the aim is to encourage the use of digital gold and Chivo.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with local television, Finance Minister Alejandro Zelaya announced the creation of a $150 million fund to support the conversion of the first cryptocurrency into U.S. dollars, Bloomberg reported.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The bill recognizing Bitcoin as legal tender was <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/el-salvador-passes-bill-recognizing-bitcoin-as-legal-tender\">adopted<\/a> by the Salvadoran Parliament in early June. <\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The opposition <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/salvadoran-opposition-declares-bitcoin-legalisation-unconstitutional\">called unconstitutional<\/a> the legalization of digital gold.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The initiative also did not resonate with local money-transfer services \u2014 only some <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/remittance-services-in-el-salvador-take-a-cautious-stance-on-bitcoin-support\">integrated<\/a> support for Bitcoin.
