This category includes not only exchanges or marketplaces for digital assets, but also, for example, miners, validators, and wallet developers.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;In a decentralized cryptocurrency system, participants do not know who is buying and selling the assets, and they cannot comply with the regulatory requirements for brokers,&#8221; wrote Eshoo.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>She noted that in the Senate <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/us-senate-votes-down-compromise-amendment-on-cryptocurrency-taxation\">worked out a bipartisan compromise amendment<\/a> to the infrastructure plan, which was supported by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. However, the changes to the bill were not adopted due to procedural issues, and <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/u-s-senate-sends-infrastructure-bill-to-house-of-representatives-without-cryptocurrency-amendments\">the document went to the House of Representatives in its original form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;I share the goals of the core provision aimed at cracking down on tax evasion in the cryptocurrency market, but the House should amend it with measures such as the bipartisan compromise to achieve this goal without stifling innovation in a nascent industry by introducing unworkable rules,&#8221; concluded Anna Eshoo.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As previously noted, the infrastructure funding plan contemplates raising an additional <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/us-authorities-to-raise-28-billion-from-crypto-transaction-taxes\">$28 billion<\/a> in taxes from cryptocurrency transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Experts <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/experts-criticise-us-congress-plan-for-expanded-crypto-taxation\">criticised<\/a> the bill for its expansive definition of &#8216;broker&#8217;, which covers virtually all participants in the industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. Representative Anna G.
