{"id":46676,"date":"2021-07-26T13:23:21","date_gmt":"2021-07-26T10:23:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=46676"},"modified":"2025-09-01T17:38:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T14:38:13","slug":"media-kazakh-banks-will-be-allowed-to-open-accounts-for-cryptocurrency-companies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/media-kazakh-banks-will-be-allowed-to-open-accounts-for-cryptocurrency-companies\/","title":{"rendered":"Media: Kazakh banks will be allowed to open accounts for cryptocurrency companies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Companies providing cryptocurrency-related services will be able to open accounts in Kazakh banks as part of a pilot project, <a href=\"https:\/\/24.kz\/ru\/news\/delovye-novosti\/item\/488579-bankovskij-schet-dlya-kriptovalyuty-mozhno-budet-otkryt-v-kazakhstane\">\u0441\u043e\u043e\u0431\u0449\u0438\u043b\u0438<\/a> local media.<\/p>\n<p>As ForkLog explained to the Association of Blockchain and Data Center Industry, this concerns a permission for banks to open accounts for legal entities that provide services for buying and selling cryptocurrencies and registered under the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC).<\/p>\n<p>Currently, banks do not offer such a capability for cryptocurrency companies.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe National Bank of Kazakhstan at one time issued a document related to risk control, in which it stated a ban on servicing and opening accounts for such companies. This will now be corrected,\u201d ForkLog quoted the Association&#8217;s president Alan Dordzhiev.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The pilot project is reportedly planned for a year. Which banks exactly will be able to work with cryptocurrency companies is not yet known.<\/p>\n<p>ForkLog has sought comment from the AIFC, but as of this writing had not received a response.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in May, the Kazakh government <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/kazakhstan-to-regulate-the-operations-of-cryptocurrency-exchanges\">considered<\/a> proposals for a roadmap to develop the cryptocurrency industry and blockchain technologies.
