This was reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/jpmorgan-financial-advisors-crypto-bitcoin-products-retail-wealth-management-2021-7?IR=T\">Business Insider<\/a> citing people familiar with the matter.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-text-wrappers-update-2 article_update\"><time class=\"gtb_text-wrappers_update_time\">July 22, 2021 | 20:31<\/time><span class=\"gtb_text-wrappers_update_head\">Update: <\/span><\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/emilymason\/2021\/07\/22\/bitcoin-about-face-jpmorgan-opens-crypto-trading-to-all-clients\/?sh=4bc57be444a5\">Forbes<\/a>, Osprey Funds founder and chief executive Greg King confirmed that JPMorgan advisers have been allowed to process client orders for shares of the company&#8217;s Bitcoin Trust.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>On July 19, JPMorgan allegedly allowed financial advisers to place orders to sell and buy five digital-asset products. According to a person familiar with the matter, the offering extends to all clients, including Chase app users.<\/p>\n<p>Bank staff are not at liberty to recommend cryptocurrency-based investment products, but may execute trades on client request. JPMorgan was the first major bank to offer such a possibility.<\/p>\n<p>In May 2021, JPMorgan&#8217;s Jamie Dimon acknowledged that <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/jamie-dimon-acknowledges-jpmorgan-clients-interest-in-bitcoin\">the bank&#8217;s customers were interested in the first cryptocurrency<\/a>. He stressed that he himself remains sceptical about digital gold.<\/p>\n<p>Other financial-industry players, including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America, have not yet opened direct retail access to crypto-based products.<\/p>\n<p>In April, Morgan Stanley allowed accredited investors with at least $2 million <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/morgan-stanley-first-among-major-u-s-banks-to-offer-clients-access-to-bitcoin-funds\">to invest money in Galaxy Digital&#8217;s crypto funds<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In June, asset managers New York Digital Investment Group and FS Investments filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to register <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/morgan-stanley-clients-to-invest-in-nydig-bitcoin-fund\">a Bitcoin fund intended for Morgan Stanley&#8217;s clients<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, JPMorgan <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/jpmorgan-to-expand-blockchain-division-headcount\">opened 84 blockchain-related vacancies<\/a>.
