The second-largest cryptocurrency was priced at $2,000.<\/p>\n<p>According to The B Word&#8217;s official site, the conference aims to explain how institutions can begin accepting Bitcoin and how we can all support the network.<\/p>\n<p>Joining Musk at the event were Twitter founder Jack Dorsey and ARK Invest founder and chief executive Cathie Wood.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, on February 8, 2021, Tesla <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/elon-musks-tesla-invested-1-5-billion-in-bitcoin-the-assets-price-rose-to-44800\">announced the automaker&#8217;s investment in Bitcoin<\/a> worth $1.5 billion. Later, Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/elon-musk-calls-teslas-bitcoin-investment-quite-risky\">described the move as &#8216;quite risky&#8217;<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In late March, Tesla <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/elon-musk-says-tesla-has-begun-selling-electric-cars-for-bitcoin\">began selling cars for Bitcoin<\/a>, and in late April <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/tesla-sold-part-of-its-bitcoin-holdings-for-272-million\">divested a portion of its &#8216;digital gold&#8217; worth $272 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On May 13, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/tesla-halts-bitcoin-car-sales-and-roils-the-market\">paused sales of electric vehicles for the first cryptocurrency<\/a> due to concerns over the environmental impact of mining.
