{"id":44834,"date":"2021-06-23T13:18:06","date_gmt":"2021-06-23T10:18:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=44834"},"modified":"2025-08-31T18:52:49","modified_gmt":"2025-08-31T15:52:49","slug":"sec-delays-valkyrie-digital-assets-bitcoin-etf-filing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/sec-delays-valkyrie-digital-assets-bitcoin-etf-filing\/","title":{"rendered":"SEC delays Valkyrie Digital Assets&#8217; Bitcoin ETF filing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) extended the review period for Valkyrie Digital Assets&#8217; application to launch <span data-descr=\"exchange-traded fund\" class=\"old_tooltip\">ETF<\/span> based on Bitcoin to August 10, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>In January, Valkyrie Digital Assets filed <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-receives-new-bitcoin-etf-registration-filing\">an application to launch a Bitcoin fund<\/a>. The regulator began reviewing the document on April 23, when the New York Stock Exchange <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyse.com\/publicdocs\/nyse\/markets\/nyse-arca\/rule-filings\/filings\/2021\/SR-NYSEArca-2021-31.pdf\">sent<\/a> the listing application for the vehicle. Forty-five days were allotted for this \u2014 until June 6. By law the SEC may extend the period to 240 days.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier the regulator <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-again-extends-review-of-vanecks-bitcoin-etf-filing\">delayed<\/a> again the consideration of VanEck&#8217;s Bitcoin ETF filing. The Commission was to <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-delays-vanecks-bid-to-launch-a-bitcoin-etf-until-june-2021\">make a decision by June 17<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On June 15, the SEC <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-delays-kryptoins-bitcoin-etf-filing\">issued a similar decision<\/a> regarding Kryptoin Investment Advisor \u2014 the review period was extended to July 27.<\/p>\n<p>In May the regulator <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-delays-kryptoins-bitcoin-etf-filing\">delayed making a decision<\/a> on the WisdomTree Bitcoin ETF filing until July 14.<\/p>\n<p>In May, the Bitcoin hedge fund One River Asset Management <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/one-river-applies-for-a-carbon-neutral-bitcoin-etf\">filed for a Bitcoin ETF<\/a>.
