Ahead of that, the 101.38-carat pear-shaped diamond will be exhibited at Sotheby\u2019s gallery in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the local Sotheby\u2019s unit, Patty Wong, called the upcoming sale a \u201ctruly symbolic moment.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe oldest and most symbolic measure of value can be purchased with humanity\u2019s newest universal currency for the first time,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The lot is valued at $10\u201315 million. Sotheby\u2019s added that this is the first time a lot of this value has been offered for purchase with cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the auction house sold Banksy\u2019s &#8220;Love Is in the Air&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/banksys-work-sold-for-12-9-million-at-a-crypto-friendly-auction\">for $12.9 million<\/a>.
