The accused, named Makrand Adhivarkar, also known as the &#8216;crypto king&#8217;, according to <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.moneycontrol.com\/news\/business\/cryptocurrency\/ncb-arrests-mumbais-crypto-king-who-provided-bitcoins-to-purchase-drugs-on-dark-web-7047201.html\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"noreferrer noopener\\\">Money Control<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In November 2020, law enforcement seized 20 LSD blotter tabs purchased with cryptocurrency from a Mumbai drug dealer in Europe, an NCB spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The accused provided digital assets to acquire illegal substances in exchange for cash, with a small margin.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>&#8216;His actions consisted of taking cash and providing bitcoins to profit, using his wallet to purchase drugs on the dark web,&#8217; the agency said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Earlier reports said the Indian government <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bloomberg-india-to-revisit-bill-banning-cryptocurrencies\">will revisit the bill<\/a>, which proposed <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/indian-parliament-to-consider-bill-banning-cryptocurrencies\">a ban on cryptocurrencies<\/a> in the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of India arrested a Mumbai resident who used Bitcoin to buy narcotics on the dark web.
