{"id":44617,"date":"2021-06-19T12:16:00","date_gmt":"2021-06-19T09:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=44617"},"modified":"2025-08-31T17:46:06","modified_gmt":"2025-08-31T14:46:06","slug":"blockchain-analytics-firm-trm-labs-closes-14-million-series-a-round-from-paypal-and-other-investors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/blockchain-analytics-firm-trm-labs-closes-14-million-series-a-round-from-paypal-and-other-investors\/","title":{"rendered":"Blockchain analytics firm TRM Labs closes $14 million Series A round from PayPal and other investors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Blockchain analytics firm TRM Labs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trmlabs.com\/post\/our-series-a-funding-annoucement\">closed<\/a> a $14 million Series A round.<\/p>\n<p>It was led by venture firm Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from PayPal Ventures, Initialized Capital, Jump Capital, Salesforce Ventures, Y Combinator and others.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the deal, Bessemer partner Ethan Kurzweil joined TRM Labs&#8217; board of directors.<\/p>\n<p>TRM Labs CEO Esteban Castano told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblockcrypto.com\/post\/108737\/blockchain-analytics-firm-trm-labs-raises-14-million-series-a\">The Block<\/a> that the funds would be used to grow the team from 30 to 100 people by the end of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2017, TRM Labs provides blockchain-analytics tools to financial and government institutions, as well as crypto firms, to detect fraud and financial crime involving digital assets.<\/p>\n<p>According to the CEO, the firm grew 600% year on year. Total funding for TRM Labs stands at around $20 million.
