The information agency <a href=\"http:\/\/fintech.xinhua08.com\/a\/20210618\/1990883.shtml\">\u00abXinhua\u00bb<\/a> reports this.<\/p>\n<p>According to the media, ICBC is the first bank in the country to offer full support for withdrawals and deposits of the digital yuan.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the state-owned <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/china-tests-digital-yuan-at-shenzhen-atms\">Agricultural Bank of China tested CBDC<\/a> in its ATMs in Shenzhen.<\/p>\n<p>In October 2020, there was the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/digital-yuan-airdrop-drew-nearly-2-million-people\">first mass testing<\/a> of the digital yuan in Shenzhen, which <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/shenzhen-to-hold-third-mass-test-of-digital-yuan\">was organised<\/a> and had already involved three distributions. CBDC trials also included Suzhou, Chengdu and Changsha.<\/p>\n<p>In total, China handed out about $39 million during the digital yuan experiments.<\/p>\n<p>In June 2021, Beijing authorities <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/beijing-to-distribute-over-6m-in-cbdc-testing\">distributed more than $6 million<\/a> as part of CBDC testing.
