Not unexpected, but this will push the entire case back 60 days. That would mean (quick calculations) Summary Judgment sometime in December\/January. Later the regulator amended the complaint, focusing on the actions of <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-clarifies-brad-garlinghouses-liability-in-ripple-lawsuit\">Brad Garlinghouse and Chris Larsen<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In April 2021, U.S. District Judge Sarah Netburn <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/court-grants-ripples-motion-orders-sec-to-disclose-bitcoin-and-ethereum-documentation\">granted the company&#8217;s motion<\/a> for access to SEC documents revealing its &#8216;interpretation and views&#8217; on Bitcoin and Ethereum.<\/p>\n<p>The court also <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/judge-denies-sec-access-to-ripples-legal-opinion-letters\">denied the agency<\/a> access to Ripple&#8217;s legal advisory records regarding XRP&#8217;s status, but allowed requests for information about the company <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/judge-allows-sec-to-request-ripple-information-from-foreign-regulators\">within a memorandum of understanding<\/a> with foreign regulators.<\/p>\n<p>Follow ForkLog news on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/forklog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Facebook<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The court granted the SEC&#8217;s motion to extend the discovery deadline by 60 days in the Ripple case.
