Christian was the former Acting Director of the SEC&#8217;s Division of Trading and Markets during an impressive decade at the agency. Before that, he held the position of senior counsel at Shearman &#038; Sterling. In January 2021 he was named acting director of the SEC&#8217;s Division of Trading and Markets.<\/p>\n<p>At Coinbase, the former official is to lead the legal work on capital markets.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in March, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/coinbase-hires-former-sec-official-to-engage-with-investors\">Coinbase hired the former Director of the SEC&#8217;s Division of Trading and Markets<\/a> Brett Redfern to engage with investors.
