The auction is timed to mark the actress&#8217;s 95th birthday.<\/p>\n<p>The price of the most expensive lot, <a href=\"https:\/\/ethernity.io\/auction\/0xD320CF5Dae1559731ed88193D6bC835A4F3a0F8E\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cHappy Birthday, Madam President\u201d<\/a> is 14 ETH (over $37,500 at the time of writing).<\/p>\n<p>Over the past half-century Monroe&#8217;s image and intellectual property have generated millions of dollars in profits for her legal owners.<\/p>\n<p>According to various sources, ABG owns rights to 75% of Marilyn Monroe&#8217;s intellectual property, which it acquired in 2011 from Anna Strasberg Mizrahi, the second wife of Monroe&#8217;s acting coach Lee Strasberg.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining 25% passed to Monroe&#8217;s therapist Marianne Kris, and then to the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families in London.<\/p>\n<p>ABG did not specify how the proceeds from the NFT sale would be used.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in May, an NFT auction <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/famed-frame-from-alien-autopsy-to-be-sold-as-nft-for-1-2-million\">displayed a frame from the black-and-white film \u201cAlien Autopsy\u201d<\/a> from 1995, which allegedly shows the body of an alien on an operating table.
