As an example, he cited Helium, a decentralized network for <span data-descr=\\\"Internet of Things\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">IoT<\/span>-devices whose nodes are routers.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Ackman said the project \\&#8221;motivates people to build a global wireless network.\\&#8221; Pershing did not invest in Helium or its token, the billionaire noted.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\\&#8221;I think cryptocurrencies won\u2019t disappear. They are really interesting from a business opportunities perspective, but I would not invest in Bitcoin or another asset that is purely speculative,\\&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, in a conversation with <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/video\/bill-ackman-crypto-has-no-intrinsic-value\/E54C43BE-7BC8-4AC4-9394-F6DFA708469C.html\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\\\">The Wall Street Journal<\/a>, Ackman stated that digital gold has no intrinsic value. He added that he would be concerned if any of his friends invested a large portion of their wealth in one or more cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bank-of-england-governor-warns-of-risk-of-losing-funds-when-buying-bitcoin\">expressed a similar view<\/a>.
