This was announced by First Deputy Governor Olga Skorobogatova, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/ria.ru\/20210518\/prototip-1732852688.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00abRIA Novosti\u00bb<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe have just issued the advisory report, the concept of the digital ruble. We are making the prototype by the end of the year and, with the market, we will see at what pace we implement this project,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Bank of Russia published <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bank-of-russia-weighs-possibility-of-creating-a-digital-ruble\">report<\/a> on the issuance of the digital currency in October of last year.<\/p>\n<p>In April, Skorobogatova said that transfers of digital rubles between individuals in Russia <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bank-of-russia-to-make-transfers-of-digital-rubles-between-individuals-free\">to be free of charge<\/a>, and a fee may be charged for payments for goods with them, similar to the current charges in the Faster Payments System.<\/p>\n<p>The Bank of Russia says that none of the banks <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/banking-sector-voices-no-opposition-to-digital-ruble-says-bank-of-russia\">has voiced opposition to the launch<\/a> of the digital ruble.<\/p>\n<p>Recall, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/survey-finds-half-of-russians-prepared-to-use-the-digital-ruble-22-firmly-opposed\">poll<\/a> by the Center for Financial Technologies and Digital Economy Studies at SKOLKOVO-RESh, half of Russia&#8217;s residents are ready to use the new asset.<\/p>\n<p>Read ForkLog&#8217;s bitcoin news on our <a href=\"\/\/telegram.me\/forklog\" target=\"\u201c_blank\u201d\" rel=\"\u201cnofollow\u201d noopener\">Telegram<\/a> \u2014 crypto news, prices and analytics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Bank of Russia intends to create a prototype of its own digital currency by the end of 2021.
