According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/taproot.watch\/miners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Taproot Watch<\/a> service, this was the only top-10 pool that did not express a position.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Based on community feedback, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Binance?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Binance<\/a> Pool has begun signaling for Taproot.<\/p>\n<p>It is estimated that <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Binance?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Binance<\/a> Pool will fully support Taproot before Friday this week. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/eukp3FlEA8\">https:\/\/t.co\/eukp3FlEA8<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Binance (@binance) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/binance\/status\/1394190217557463046?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 17, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/btc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BTC.com<\/a>, at the time of writing, Binance Pool&#8217;s hash rate stood at 13.47 PH\/s. By this measure, it ranked sixth with an 8% share.<\/p>\n<p>As of May 17, 2021, of the 21 mining pools tracked by Taproot Watch, the upgrade was not supported by Rawpool, OKExPool, WAYI.CN, ArkPool, BTCPool, TMSPool, OKKONG, Sigmapool.com and an unknown group \u2014 collectively they controlled 4.43% of the hashrate.<\/p>\n<p>According to the service, during the current difficulty epoch there have been several episodes in which there was a run of at least ten consecutive blocks signaling support.<\/p>\n<p>The upgrade mechanism envisages a three-month window through August 11. During this period, in any of the roughly two-week intervals between difficulty retargets, 90% of mined blocks must contain the corresponding signal. If this is the case, Taproot will be deployed in November 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The upgrade will be one of the most important in Bitcoin&#8217;s history.
