The firm also plans to allocate a portion of profits to the development of renewable energy capacity.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u00abProjects reduce emissions or <\/em>increase <em>the absorption of greenhouse gases in a constant and verifiable manner. This is confirmed by one of three recognised agencies\u00bb<\/em>, the press release said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Greenidge Generation urged other mining companies to join this initiative.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2017 the firm has annually purchased \u201ccarbon credits\u201d under the <span data-descr=\"Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative\" class=\"old_tooltip\">Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative<\/span>.
