This was reported by state television channel <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.presstv.com\/Detail\/2021\/05\/05\/652019\/Iran-central-bank-ban-cryprocurrency-trading\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\\\">Press TV<\/a>, citing the regulator.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Earlier the CIB allowed banks and other licensed financial institutions <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/iran-allows-financial-institutions-to-pay-for-imports-with-bitcoin\">to use cryptocurrency to pay for imports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the decree clarifies that organisations may use only digital assets mined &#8220;through legal channels inside Iran&#8221;. How exactly the central bank intends to monitor inflows of assets from abroad is unknown.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyer Fatemeh Fannizadeh [Fatemeh Fannizadeh] suggested that the decision was taken to curb capital outflows from Iran amid inflation.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Crypto is already regulated in Iran.
