Open for bidding from 3-10 June, the auction features the rare Alien CryptoPunk #7523 from the collection of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sillytuna?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@sillytuna<\/a> &#038; more <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/hGKSbU09gK\">https:\/\/t.co\/hGKSbU09gK<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/OFu4Apxvpy\">pic.twitter.com\/OFu4Apxvpy<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Sotheby&#8217;s (@Sothebys) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Sothebys\/status\/1390363829842890756?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 6, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Quantum was released in May 2014. According to Sotheby\u2019s, this work is &#8216;the first ever created&#8217; NFT.<\/p>\n<p>The auction will also feature two other digital lots: the rare CryptoPunk #7523, released in 2017, and Anna Ridler\u2019s The Shell Record.<\/p>\n<p>The auction will run from 3 to 10 June. Bids are planned to be accepted in both fiat and cryptocurrency. The starting price is $100.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Sevens Foundation, a nonprofit that supports aspiring digital artists.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in April 2021, Sotheby\u2019s staged an auction featuring the digital artist Murat Pak&#8217;s works as non-fungible tokens.<\/p>\n<p>On 12 May Sotheby\u2019s will auction a Banksy painting titled <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sothebys-to-auction-banksy-painting-love-is-in-the-air-for-bitcoin\">&#8220;Love is in the air&#8221;<\/a>.
