It is focused on several sectors, including DeFi and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In the DeFi space, the fund targets applications built on the Solana blockchain. Previously, Multicoin Capital had already invested in this ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>Among <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-are-nfts\">NFT<\/a>, the firm regards social and collectible tokens as the most promising, as well as projects on the Metaverse platform.<\/p>\n<p>Venture Fund II also invests in blockchain platforms for content distribution, gaming and other Web 3.0 applications. In addition, the fund will back infrastructure projects for the crypto industry.<\/p>\n<p>The company&#8217;s first fund <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblockcrypto.com\/post\/103700\/multicoin-capital-second-fund-100-million-defi-nft-crypto\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">invested<\/a> in more than 30 projects, including Solana, The Graph, Audius, Helium and Arweave. Multicoin Capital&#8217;s managing partner Kyle Samani did not disclose the amount invested.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in March <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/binance-invests-in-crypto-hedge-fund-multicoin-capital\">Binance invested<\/a> in the cryptocurrency hedge fund Multicoin Capital.
