{"id":41499,"date":"2021-04-27T17:40:02","date_gmt":"2021-04-27T14:40:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=41499"},"modified":"2025-08-30T19:01:52","modified_gmt":"2025-08-30T16:01:52","slug":"former-neklis-bank-executives-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/former-neklis-bank-executives-arrested\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Neklis Bank executives arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Moscow Tverskoy District Court arrested the former chairman of the board of the now-bankrupt Neklis Bank, Sergey Boriskin, and his deputy Natalia Akulova. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kommersant.ru\/doc\/4792199\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reports<\/a> Kommersant.<\/p>\n<p>According to investigators, from September 2018 to January 2020 the defendants Boriskin and Akulova moved clients&#8217; funds out of the bank by issuing unsecured loans to individuals under their control. The total damage was estimated at 1.3 billion rubles. The bank owed depositors 1.9 billion rubles.<\/p>\n<p>Searches were also carried out on the alleged accomplices of the former Neklis Bank executives among the loan recipients, but none of them were detained.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2020 the Central Bank of Russia revoked Neklis Bank&#8217;s licence due to the complete loss of its own funds following the withdrawal of assets.
