This is stated in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ritcap.com\/sites\/default\/files\/12.04.2021%20-%20Numis%20-%20RIT%20Capital%20\u2013%20Kraken.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">note<\/a> sent to investors.<\/p>\n<p>The amount invested by the fund is not disclosed in the document.<\/p>\n<p>RIT Capital Partners&#8217; interest in the platform is tied to Kraken&#8217;s plans to become a public company and conduct a direct listing in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The note also states that Kraken&#8217;s rival \u2013 Coinbase \u2013 in Q1 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/coinbase-reports-first-quarter-results-revenue-of-1-8-billion\">earned a record $1.8 billion<\/a>, which exceeds its profit for all of 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The market capitalization of RIT Capital Partners, founded by Lord Jacob Rothschild, stands at $5.3 billion.<\/p>\n<p>In April, plans for Kraken <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/kraken-ceo-confirms-plans-to-go-public-in-2022\">go public<\/a> were confirmed by co-founder and CEO Jesse Powell.<\/p>\n<p>He also said that the platform is in <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bloomberg-kraken-the-bitcoin-exchange-seeks-a-valuation-above-10-billion\">talks with investors about a new round of financing<\/a>.
