More here: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/tGUaoqI55h\">https:\/\/t.co\/tGUaoqI55h<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/YymocgVM0k\">pic.twitter.com\/YymocgVM0k<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 BitMEX (@BitMEX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BitMEX\/status\/1385050459388497921?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 22, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The plan envisages adding five new business units:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>spot trading;<\/li>\n<li>brokerage;<\/li>\n<li>custody services;<\/li>\n<li>information products;<\/li>\n<li>academy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Top management will push to obtain licenses in the most attractive jurisdictions.<\/p>\n<p>In BitMEX\u2019s core derivatives business, the company plans to continue expanding its product lineup.<\/p>\n<p>Heptner announced the launch of fully functional spot trading accessible to residents of all countries.<\/p>\n<p>Plans include establishing a licensed brokerage firm offering services including on the over-the-counter market.<\/p>\n<p>A regulated proprietary custody solution is planned.<\/p>\n<p>As these directions develop, the exchange will form a division for information products. To help users navigate the ecosystem, the trading platform will create BitMEX Academy, which will offer educational content.<\/p>\n<p>To implement the strategy, the team will be expanded. In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblockcrypto.com\/post\/102543\/bitmex-lays-out-ambitions-to-expand-business-into-spot-custody-and-education-services\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Block<\/a>, the executive did not rule out raising capital in the form of an IPO, acquiring a SPAC or issuing tokens.<\/p>\n<p>The former head of the Stuttgart Stock Exchange, Alexander Heptner <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/former-stuttgart-stock-exchange-chief-to-lead-bitmex\">took<\/a> the post as head of 100x Group in December 2020.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2021, he <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bitmex-plans-to-add-spot-trading-and-custodial-services\">revealed<\/a> part of the planned changes in BitMEX&#8217;s transformation strategy.<\/p>\n<p>In October 2020, former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/arthur-hayes-steps-down-as-bitmex-ceo-after-u-s-regulators-lawsuit\">resigned<\/a> along with the rest of the leadership after <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/cftc-sues-bitmex-and-its-founders\">investigation<\/a> by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission and charges by the US Department of Justice.<\/p>\n<p>In April 2021, Hayes <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/former-bitmex-chief-surrenders-to-u-s-authorities-released-on-10-million-bond\">surrendered<\/a> to American authorities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Follow ForkLog news on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/forklog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Facebook<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BitMEX aims to become one of the world&#8217;s largest regulated crypto-derivatives exchanges and to act as a catalyst for change in the industry.
