{"id":41120,"date":"2021-04-21T10:05:38","date_gmt":"2021-04-21T07:05:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=41120"},"modified":"2025-08-30T17:22:00","modified_gmt":"2025-08-30T14:22:00","slug":"toronto-stock-exchange-begins-trading-ethereum-based-etfs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/toronto-stock-exchange-begins-trading-ethereum-based-etfs\/","title":{"rendered":"Toronto Stock Exchange begins trading Ethereum-based ETFs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, April 20, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2021\/04\/20\/2213153\/0\/en\/Purpose-Investments-Launches-World-s-First-Ether-ETF.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Purpose Ether ETF<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ci.com\/en\/newsroom\/CI-Galaxy-Ethereum-ETF-Begins-Trading-on-TSX---With-Management-Fee-Fully-Waived-Until-June-15%2C-2021-2021-04-20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">CI Galaxy Ethereum ETF<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newswire.ca\/news-releases\/evolve-announces-world-s-first-ether-etf-begins-trading-today-on-tsx-882676375.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Evolves Ether ETF<\/a> began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX).<\/p>\n<p>On April 16, Canadian regulators <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/canada-approves-worlds-first-ethereum-based-etfs\">approved the launch<\/a> of the world&#8217;s first Ethereum-based ETFs from Purpose Investments, CI Global Asset Management and Evolve Funds.<\/p>\n<p>CI Galaxy Ethereum ETF and Evolves Ether ETF waived management fees until June 15 and May 31, respectively. The first fund charges 0.4%, and the second 0.75% of net asset value (NAV). The Purpose Ether ETF charges a 1% management fee.<\/p>\n<p>Canada approved the launch of the world&#8217;s first Ethereum-based ETFs, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, two months after <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/canada-registers-bitcoin-etf-ahead-of-the-united-states\">the registration of the first bitcoin ETF<\/a>.
