The announcement came in the company&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2021\/04\/19\/2212386\/0\/en\/3iQ-CoinShares-Bitcoin-ETF-Begins-Trading-on-TSX.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The listing of the instrument took place on April 19 on the Toronto Stock Exchange. It trades in Canadian dollars under the ticker BTCQ and in US dollars under BTCQ.U.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, 3iQ Corp launched Canada&#8217;s first Bitcoin fund. It currently manages nearly $2 billion in assets.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2021 CoinShares <a href=\"https:\/\/coinshares.com\/assets\/IR\/coinshares---intention-to-list-and-prospectus-press-release-pdf-monday-22-2-2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">listed its shares<\/a> on Nasdaq First North Growth Market in Stockholm. Later the company announced a partnership with the aim of<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/3iq-corp-and-coinshares-to-launch-bitcoin-etf-in-canada\"> launching a Bitcoin ETF in Canada<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In February, Canada became the first in the world<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/canada-registers-bitcoin-etf-ahead-of-the-united-states\"> to approve an exchange-traded fund<\/a> based on the first cryptocurrency.
