The price of the Bitcoin ETF will be set based on the Bloomberg Galaxy Bitcoin Index.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;The index is designed to track the performance of one bitcoin in US dollars,&#8221; the document says.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The company did not specify who will provide custody of the digital assets.<\/p>\n<p>Applications to launch a Bitcoin ETF were filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) by <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/vaneck-applies-to-launch-etf-providing-exposure-to-crypto-related-companies\">VanEck<\/a>,  <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/wisdomtree-files-another-bitcoin-etf-application-in-the-united-states\">WisdomTree<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/nydig-files-to-launch-bitcoin-etf\">NYDIG<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bitwise-files-new-sec-application-for-bitwise-crypto-innovators-etf\">Bitwise<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-receives-new-bitcoin-etf-registration-filing\">Valkyrie Digital Assets<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/kryptoin-resumes-bid-to-launch-bitcoin-etf\">Kryptoin<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/skybridge-capital-and-first-trust-advisors-file-to-launch-a-bitcoin-etf\">SkyBridge Capital<\/a> with First Trust Advisors<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/fidelity-files-to-launch-bitcoin-etf\">Fidelity Investments<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2021 the SEC began reviewing <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-begins-review-of-vanecks-bid-to-launch-a-bitcoin-etf\">the VanEck filing<\/a>, and in April \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-begins-review-of-wisdomtrees-bid-to-launch-a-bitcoin-etf\">the WisdomTree filing<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In February, Canada <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/canada-registers-bitcoin-etf-ahead-of-the-united-states\">registered<\/a> the first Bitcoin ETF in North America.
