It helps projects prepare for deployment on the mainnet.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe Statemint launch will take place in the coming months. But the roadmap remains in the planning stage,\u201d Ardoino clarified.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The schedule for USDT\u2019s launch remains unknown, as parachain formation on Polkadot and Kusama has not yet been completed.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier the stablecoin was launched on Ethereum, EOS, Omni, Tron. It also operates in Blockstream&#8217;s Liquid sidechain and on the Standard Ledger Protocol by the developers of Bitcoin Cash. In 2020, Tether issued USDT on the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/tether-launches-usdt-on-solana-blockchain\">Algorand blockchain<\/a>, and later on Solana.<\/p>\n<p>USDT&#8217;s market capitalization exceeds $43 billion, with the majority of the volume concentrated on Ethereum.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/25yn-9CUw278bD0uc9NJpz2iFj5ypTwwQoH5t_RhZhOKXkTcpkXeuZDG8YV2-koWUWVP8AnozVsRFsEwx-QOVsKiDvA2S8QELG3kUHnXWllEbqhToVS4UDzdOFLQwp2Q_JysVYIL\" alt=\"Tether to launch USDT stablecoin on Polkadot and Kusama\"\/><figcaption>Source: Tether.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In March 2021, the auditing and consulting firm Moore Global published <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/independent-auditor-confirms-tether-reserves-fully-back-usdt\">a conclusion on reserve sufficiency<\/a> for Tether Holdings Limited to fully back the Tether stablecoin (USDT).
