The decision to fully block the social network on the territory of the Russian Federation was postponed, as the company began removing banned content.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Given Twitter&#8217;s decision to change the principles and speed of its own moderation service in Russia for the first time and to remove a substantial portion of the content prohibited in Russia, Roskomnadzor decided not to move to the next measure \u2014 a full blocking of the social network,&#8221; officials said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>By extending the throttling measures, Roskomnadzor granted the social network additional time to remove all banned content.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-text-wrappers-update article_update\"><span class=\"gtb_text-wrappers_update_head\">Update: <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Twitter said it had engaged in a &#8220;constructive dialogue&#8221; with the Russian authorities and conducted joint consultations with Roskomnadzor on a joint response to banned messages, reports <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/rbc_news\/27334\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u0420\u0411\u041a<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>As reported, Roskomnadzor began <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/russian-court-fines-twitter-8-9-million-rubles\">throttling Twitter&#8217;s operation<\/a> in Russia due to the social network&#8217;s refusal to delete content banned in Russia since March 10.
