This is stated in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/836487\/000110465921044979\/a21-8652_27497.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">filing<\/a> with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The document mentions 12 funds. Some of them could gain exposure to the cryptocurrency through Bitcoin futures or the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC).<\/p>\n<p>According to the filing, investments could be routed through a Cayman Islands-based subsidiary established in accordance with local law.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan Stanley allows that each fund could transfer up to 25% of its assets to the subsidiary, which would invest them in Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in March 2021, CNBC sources<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/morgan-stanley-first-among-major-u-s-banks-to-offer-clients-access-to-bitcoin-funds\"> reported plans<\/a> for Morgan Stanley to open access to Bitcoin funds for accredited investors with at least $2 million in capital.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the largest American banks, Morgan Stanley, did not rule out adding Bitcoin derivatives to several of its own institutional funds.
