{"id":39785,"date":"2021-03-30T09:49:47","date_gmt":"2021-03-30T06:49:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=39785"},"modified":"2025-08-30T11:17:44","modified_gmt":"2025-08-30T08:17:44","slug":"court-shortens-sentence-for-former-slovak-slovan-hockey-player-igor-musatov-in-bitcoin-fraud-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/court-shortens-sentence-for-former-slovak-slovan-hockey-player-igor-musatov-in-bitcoin-fraud-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Court shortens sentence for former Slovak Slovan hockey player Igor Musatov in bitcoin-fraud case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Moscow City Court reduced the sentence of the former Slovak Slovan hockey player Igor Musatov, who was found guilty of large-scale bitcoin fraud, by three months.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/tass.ru\/proisshestviya\/11022245\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"noreferrer noopener\\\">TASS<\/a>, citing the court&#8217;s press service, the court recognised as mitigating circumstances Musatov&#8217;s prolonged detention in a pre-trial detention facility, as well as the fact that he had no prior criminal record.<\/p>\n<p>He will now serve three years and nine months in a general regime penal colony.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, Musatov was detained in the $800,000 bitcoin fraud case.
