The CEO of IOHK, the Cardano developer, Charles Hoskinson, firmly rejected the prospect of the first cryptocurrency being banned by U.S. authorities.<\/p>\n
During an AMA session (Ask Me Anything \u2014 ask me anything), he said<\/a>:<\/p>\n \u201cThat ship has sailed. Bitcoin won’t be banned.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n stated<\/a> the high likelihood of banning digital gold in the United States, Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates.<\/p>\n The billionaire cited India as an example where such a move regarding all cryptocurrencies is being considered<\/a> at the legislative level.<\/p>\n Hoskinson also said he planned to discuss with Galaxy Digital founder Mike Novogratz about Cardano\u2019s native token \u2014 ADA.<\/p>\n But the IOHK chief urged the community not to harbour much hope that Novogratz would become a supporter of the coin.<\/p>\n \u201cPerhaps we can convince him that Cardano is a real project. I think he is probably a fan of Ethereum\u2019s popularity, and regards us as fraudsters, and me as a pathological liar,\u201d Hoskinson added wryly.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Novogratz asked<\/a> his Twitter followers what Cardano is and why the asset has such a large market capitalization. He added that he had never traded ADA.<\/p>\n In late February, during a bullish rally, the cryptocurrency rose to third place<\/a> in market capitalization. At the time of writing Cardano sits fifth with a market capitalization of just over $38 billion, slightly behind Binance Coin and Tether (according to CoinGecko<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n
