We are interested in building a unified platform,\u201d<\/em> \u2014 said the exchange&#8217;s CEO, Ed Tilly, in a comment to the publication.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>CBOE was the first regulated exchange to launch bitcoin futures on December 11, 2017. On June 19, 2019, amid a bear market and competition with CME, the exchange removed the instrument from listing.<\/p>\n<p>In the interview, Ed Tilly also touched on a bitcoin-based exchange-traded fund.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cWe expect to obtain approval for a joint <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/cboe-files-to-list-bitcoin-etf\"><em>request<\/em><\/a><\/em>,\u201d \u2014 he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rejected previous applications.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, on March 18, the SEC <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sec-begins-review-of-vanecks-bid-to-launch-a-bitcoin-etf\">began considering<\/a> a new VanEck and CBOE request.
