This has increased the company&#8217;s total hash rate by 40 PH\/s.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The second batch consists of 482 WhatsMiner M31S+ devices.<\/p>\n<p>The hash rate of each ASIC miner is approximately 80\u201386 TH\/s, with power consumption ranging from 3,360 to 3,520 W.<\/p>\n<p>The9 and MicroBT signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation in February this year. The9 will buy 5,000 WhatsMiner ASIC miners over the course of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in January 2021, The9 announced <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/the9-to-enter-mining-industry-as-shares-jump-140\">its entry into the cryptocurrency mining industry<\/a>. Within two days of the announcement, its shares jumped 140%. In the same month, the company purchased <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/the9-buys-26007-asic-miners-shares-jump-20\">26,007 miners<\/a> for Bitcoin mining.<\/p>\n<p>In March, The9 signed an agreement with Bitmain to purchase <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/the9-acquires-24000-asic-miners-from-bitmain\">24,000 Bitcoin miners of the Antminer S19j<\/a>.
