The chart below shows that the price surge to new highs is accompanied by a spike in trading volumes. At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading around $61,300 on Bitstamp.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

The rise of digital gold revived the rest of the market. Ethereum approached $2,000, the asset’s 24-hour gain exceeded 11%.<\/p>\r\n
