Excited to join its Board of Directors to play a role in such an impactful space. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/paNxjVT3sB\">https:\/\/t.co\/paNxjVT3sB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jim Messina (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Messina2012\/status\/1369475277022240770?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 10, 2021<\/a>)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Messina&#8217;s duties will include developing new standards and rules for the digital-asset market.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe crypto market was the Wild West, and now it&#8217;s time to regulate it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Messina predicts that in the future most transactions will be conducted with digital currencies:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt is incredibly important for us to develop the regulatory part of this process.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Blockchain.com said that the partnership with Messina will position the company as a key player in the market.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe do not want cryptocurrency to be a fly-by-night market. This market must be transparent, regulated, and well-served for customers,\u201d said Peter Smith, the company&#8217;s CEO.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In 2012, Messina worked on Barack Obama&#8217;s campaign and as deputy White House chief of staff. For a year he has been involved in cryptocurrency trading.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2021, President Joe Biden paused the implementation of FinCEN&#8217;s proposal for <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/biden-freezes-proposed-fincen-rules-regulating-the-cryptocurrency-industry\">verification of users of non-custodial wallets<\/a>.
