This is stated in the <a href=\\\"https:\/\/newsroom.paypal-corp.com\/2021-03-08-PayPal-to-Acquire-Curv\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"nofollow noopener\\\">press release<\/a> of the company.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>PayPal expects to complete the deal in the first half of 2021. Terms were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The purchase of Curv is part of the company&#8217;s efforts to invest in talent and technology to realise our vision of a more inclusive financial system,&#8221; said Jos\u00e9 Fern\u00e1ndez da Ponte, PayPal&#8217;s vice president.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>The company said that the agreements reached would accelerate and broaden PayPal&#8217;s cryptocurrency and digital-asset initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>In July 2020, Curv <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/franklin-templeton-leads-curv-funding-round-the-crypto-custody-provider\">raised $23 million<\/a> in a Series A funding round from Commerzbank Group, Coinbase Ventures and Digital Currency Group.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>In October <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/franklin-templeton-leads-curv-funding-round-the-crypto-custody-provider\">took place<\/a> an additional funding round for Curv, led by investment giant Franklin Templeton.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>News of <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/paypal-to-acquire-crypto-custody-provider-curv-reports-say\">PayPal&#8217;s plans<\/a> to acquire a provider of custody infrastructure for digital assets emerged in early March.
