At the time of writing, the highest bid stood at $17,474.<\/p>\n<p>The NFT depicts a visual map of the Electoral College from space based on AP&#8217;s published data. To announce the winner of the election, the agency used an Ethereum address via Everipedia&#8217;s OraQle software.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAs we continue to test blockchain for revenue models and journalistic use cases, we thought it would be interesting to test an original and creative NFT on many levels,\u201d said Duane Desolniers, AP\u2019s director of data licensing, in comments to CoinDesk.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In early February, actress Lindsay Lohan sold a non-fungible token Lightning <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/lindsay-lohan-sells-bitcoin-nft-at-auction-price-tops-70000\">for $70 000<\/a>. The popular <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/nyan-cat-meme-animation-sells-for-300-eth-at-foundation-auction\">meme GIF Nyan Cat went under the hammer<\/a> for 300 ETH.
