The American rock band Kings of Leon plans to release their eighth studio album, \u201cWhen You See Yourself,\u201d as a non-fungible token (NFT). Rolling Stone<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

The record will be issued on March 5 on the YellowHeart blockchain platform in three editions. The first edition will include the digital album, its animated cover, and a vinyl LP. The second edition also includes a concert ticket, lifetime front-row seats, and a personal-assistant service for the show period.<\/p>\n

The third edition will be limited to 18 copies. Six will go to auction, and the remainder will be kept in storage in the hope that the limited-supply tokens will appreciate over time.<\/p>\n

For a limited period, fans will be able to pay what they deem appropriate. After the auction ends, the limited NFTs will become collectible versions of the album.<\/p>\n

In early February, actress Lindsay Lohan sold a non-fungible token for $70,000. The popular meme GIF Nyan Cat went under the hammer for 300 ETH.<\/p>\n

In early March, Canadian singer Grimes sold a collection of NFTs for $6 million.<\/p>\n
