Bitcoin&#8217;s share was 10.1%, Ethereum&#8217;s 8.9%.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;In February this was inevitable,&#8221; wrote the ICO Analytics team.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It was likely a reference to Elon Musk&#8217;s tweet hinting at the entrepreneur&#8217;s role in boosting the altcoin&#8217;s popularity. The quoted January post from the founder of Tesla on the social network <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/elon-musk-tweet-immortalised-on-the-bitcoin-blockchain\">was immortalised in the Bitcoin blockchain<\/a>, although most users linked the post to Dogecoin.<\/p>\n<p>In February, Musk continued speaking about the meme cryptocurrency on Twitter. At the start of the month after a series of his tweets <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/elon-musk-tweets-about-dogecoin-again-as-the-coin-climbs-nearly-50\">the price of Dogecoin rose by almost 50%<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Later, the entrepreneur said that he <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/elon-musk-buys-dogecoin-for-his-younger-son\">bought some coins for his younger son<\/a>. He then turned to major Dogecoin holders <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/elon-musk-urges-major-dogecoin-holders-to-sell-a-portion-of-their-coins\">with a proposal to sell part of the assets<\/a> in order to reduce centralisation.<\/p>\n<p>Against the backdrop of Musk&#8217;s activity around Dogecoin <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/elon-musk-comments-on-rumours-of-sec-investigation-into-his-dogecoin-tweets\">rumours of an SEC investigation<\/a> began due to his tweets about the altcoin.
